  • National Waffle Day is coming...

National Waffle Day might be Monday, but who can wait till then?  We have two amazing places in OKC that specialize in this breakfast delicacy.  First up is Waffle Champion in Midtown.  With 2 kinds of waffles you can order 11 different ways, you'll never get tired of trying out their delicious menu.  If you find yourself north of the city make sure to stop by CafĂ© Evoke in Edmond.  They serve waffles until 2 so it's perfect for those of us who aren't morning people.  Don't forget to try one of their creamy cappuccinos.  It's one of the best coffee shops in the metro!

Have a great weekend and an even better brunch.  Cheers to the weekend!

  • National Waffle Day

Almost 150 years ago on March 24th the first waffle iron patent was filed in the United States and the origins of National Waffle Day was born.  Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time yesterday to enjoy these scrumptious confections.  Thankfully Sweden comes to the rescue with their very own National Waffle Day celebrated on March 25th.  Or maybe we should call it International Waffle Day?

To make things even easier, William-Sonoma sells this pre-made Assorted Liege Waffle Dough which comes in three flavors.  All you have to do is place a dough ball on your favorite waffle iron and you're officially celebrating National Waffle Day with ease.

I just hope you have some left over maple syrup from National Maple Syrup Day.
